Will tape players be available for Floor Music?
Yes. While we suggest music be available on CD, we also recognize CD’s have their problems. As a matter of fact, to be safe, we recommend that you have both media available for floor music. Also, we have found that home made CD’s are not playable in all type of CD players. We provide CD players that play most CD’s and ALL professionally burned CD’s. We cannot guarantee that our professional players will play every home burned CD. In the past three years there has been only one CD that would not play. But for that gymnast, it was a problem. PLEASE HAVE READILY AVAILABLE TAPES FOR ALL MUSIC. This is not only for our meet. I would suggest you do this for all meets, as equipment is equipment. We hire out this service to a professional sound company.
Can I purchase ILNY Cup merchandise after the meet?
Yes. Selected items will be made available on the web following the last day of competition. If you have further questions you can contact our Concessions Director, Sue Watson at
Mrsmbducks2@aol.com.
Will there be a Professional Photographer at the meet?
Yes. We are very pleased that Gallery Photo will return to the ILNY Cup as our official Photographic services provider. This year they have upgraded their service and will index photographs very conveniently on a new web site. You will easily find all the great shots of your gymnast. Gallery will also provide portraits on the Arena concourse. You can contact Gallery at 607-724-3136 or send e-mail to Kurt Motsko at
kmotsko1@stny.rr.com.
Where can we eat?
Check out our web site for all the great places to eat. There are many national chain eateries on the Vestal Parkway. If you want to wing it, go out of the arena and over the bridge and just travel down the parkway. You can also go to the Chamber of Commerce site, which is very helpful
www.binghamtoncvb.com.
Frequently Asked Questions re: Registration
Why is the Deadline so soon?
We are trying to get the competition schedule out as soon as possible. Naturally, the sooner we have the registration deadline, the sooner we can get the schedule out so you can plan your trip to Binghamton.
Can I substitute gymnasts after the Registration Deadline?
Yes. You can substitute gymnasts in the same level until <TBD> at 5 PM. Please call and speak to Daile VanPatten for these last minute arrangements at 607-754-7714. You can also send changes via e-mail to
DaileVP@ilovenycup.com prior to the Scratch Deadline of
<TBD>.
Can I substitute gymnasts in different level?
Yes, but only as space allows. Please call and speak to Daile VanPatten for
these last minute arrangements at 607-754-7714.
When will I receive my refund for scratched gymnasts?
Refunds for all gymnasts scratched by the Scratch Deadline are typically delivered at the meet or shortly thereafter. If you have not received your refund by
<TBD>, please contact Daile VanPatten.
Do I have to pay the Team Fee if I am only bringing two gymnasts from my gym?
You do not have to pay a Team Fee if you have two or less gymnasts per level.
How did you come up with the Registration Fee?
Each year we look at the fees charged for other meets around the country. We try to keep our price affordable relative to other large arena venues. It is interesting that most Arena venues charge about the same as meets housed in gyms or high school type gymnasiums.
